Gareth E. Murray II

...was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland outside of Washington, D.C. At the age of 17 his life was transformed when he renewed his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As a result, his passion for rap music and his love for God became fused together in the paradigm of his musical expression. He has been rapping since the age of 17 and has been preaching the Word of God as a licensed minister since the age of 21.

"I have always preferred substance in lyrical art; my goal is to give something for you to chew on. I do not aim to confuse or to bewilder, but to uplift and exhort with music and language that has weight; I want to challenge listeners to grasp the heart and message of my lyrics as well as bump to the instrumentals. Some choose to use rap music as a way to promote negativity or to promote themselves, but I am grateful for the opportunity to share the life-giving and life-changing message of the Gospel through rap music. Therefore, it is my prayer to paint a picture of Jesus Christ and His truth that can be truly seen by those who truly listen. Furthermore, not everything here is a bed of roses...because life is hard sometimes. But in the end it's all about giving glory to God and proclaiming His goodness through the good times and the bad. All praise to the Most High!"

Gareth is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Theology at Spurgeon's College in London, England.
